Some Warmth For Aunt Shirley

A year and a half since the kitchen remodel was complete, we finally installed a fireplace in the kitchen.

Just in time too. My Aunt Shirley was visiting for a few days. She was on her way to Florida. We hope she wasn’t too cold while she was here.

When I’m 74, I want to be a softball playing, golfing, skiing, wine-drinking grandma who works in a liquor store, just like Aunt Shirley.

Although I don’t play softball. Quite frankly, I throw like a girl.

We were eating a really spicy Thai meal that I had prepared when she asked me if I had any honey. I gave the Sue Bee to her and she proceeded to put it on her sticky rice. The husband then decided to put it on his too…I’ve lost all control.
