How do you get them to look like that? It can take a little bit of practice but it’s pretty easy really.

rolling2

Take a sheet of eggroll skin and place a small amount of the mix on top of it and close to one corner.  About a spoonful.

rolling1

Take one corner and fold it over the mixture.

rolling3

Roll it over once to get the mixture secure.

rolling5

It looks like this.

rolling4

Hold it securely and fold one end over, then the other.

rolling6

Like this.

rolling7

Roll the rest around and leave a little bit of the corner.

rolling8

I put a little egg in a tiny cup or sometimes I’ll just put it right in the mixture. Then I take a little bit in a spoon to use as “glue” so that it keeps it together. I put a little bit of egg on one corner and fold it over.

rolling9

There it is! A perfect little eggroll. One down and 99 more to go.

rolling91

I deep fry these until they are these beautiful golden brown yummy rolls. I use a paper bag and place paper towels on top to soak up the excess oil.

The family loves these. Except for the boy. I make him mac and cheese.

Try them, try them now! And tomorrow, I’ll show you how to make the sauce. Actually, I have several sauces. I’ll show them all eventually!

Bon appetite!

Tami tried the egg rolls, they were good, however, she said must be she isn’t giving us Nana’s secret ingredient, then I looked at your title and realized it said how “I” make egg rolls. haha We had to call Nana to get in on the secret. Thanks for the incentive! yum yum.
    Take care

haha, nope i wouldn’t want that either, but she said she doesn’t use beef, and puts sesame oil and sugar in there. Tami was funny she said these are just about like nana’s but not quite, something’s missing, when we asked nana, she said sesame oil and sugar were the ingredients we were missing but she couldn’t give us quantities because she just throws it in. Never the less they were still good and there aren’t any left! I’d say they were a big hit!

  8. Puna says:

Oh I don’t know. I’ve never seen sesame oil…and sugar I put in my sauce…of course, I’ve been away from home a while…

    these look delicious!

Thank you, they were delicious,,,the only thing we were missing was the sauce, and I didn’t have a clue what to make that with, and figured I wouldn’t have most of the ingredients in the house anyway. We had a fun time shopping up to Kim’s oriental store none the less. Hope you enjoyed your Easter and good luck with the taxes I’m in the same boat!
