The Bay

The husband spent his formative teenage years in Florida.

So the tug of the water is strong. Last year on Father’s Day, we surprised him with a little boat to fish in. And to cruise in. And to just do nothing in.

There is nothing more relaxing to him than to be out on the water. It’s like a vacation for him when he gets home from a trip.

Our little spot on the Chesapeake is really pretty. We’ll probably be hanging out here quite a bit this summer.

your photos are wonderful. found you via shutter sisters.
Oh, I do like these beautiful pics. Sounds like a great place to spend part of your summer.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Gorgeous photos! Wish I was there…
so magical in blackand white Puna!
My dad grew up on the water on Long Island. I think his children inherited his salt water blood. Love the water!

Y’all sure know how to make a man happy. A little boat is mighty good for his disposition and for the family’s.
My husband’s a fisherman by nature. He had a boat for a while, caught many many salmon, but it was also a lot of money to keep it up. He eventually decided that it was best to sell it. I’d love to *surprise* him with something like a kayak or ??? He would love it. You’re a good wife for knowing what makes you husband tick.
Wow… great shots — thanks for sharing
That first bird (trying to think of his name is magnificant!!

What a great gift for your hubby and I have to agree being at the bay is super relaxing, we recently took a trip down to the texas coast bay.
what a thoughtful gift! I bet he’d love to get that gift every year and would never tire of it. That’s my idea of life — any time at all on or near the water.
love the serene pics
Claudia-it looks like a crane or egret, I can never tell the difference-I’ve seen both off the Chesapeake.
i love the vintagey look on these photos!
Wonderful photos! Thank you for stopping by my blog

Wonderful shots, Puna. I’m like your husband – I love the water and miss the ocean terribly. I’m about seven hours away from it and seriously need to schedule a trip. (Saw your link on SS and had to check it out. ) =)
A kayak! I love it! How great.
One day, we are going to sell our house and get a shack on the water…
I don’t know. But if it helps, he was very big.
I think he’s an egret:) but I don’t know…thanks for coming by! Love your pink roses…
Thank you. I see you are in the suburbs as well.
