My daughter is eight and starting to talk about sleepaway camps. I’d love for her to attend one but I don’t know if my husband could stand it! He’s so protective, every time he gets up to use the bathroom at night, he passes by the kids room to make sure they’re still breathing

What a wonderful post! I can tell what a great and loving mom you are and how close your family is. I wrote for Love Thursday this week about missing my own two girlies, so I know a bit of what you’re going through. It’s always tougher than we thought, isn’t it? Somehow the freedom we thought we’d enjoy always evaporates. Chin up, he’ll be home before you know it.

camp is the best. he is having a ball. imagine being a kid and having a bunch of slightly older kids being in charge of you, instead of the mother that you love so much but need a break from.
