It’s Good to be Home

I get an itch, one that won’t leave until I leave my corner of the world in the suburbs for far away lands.

But then when I come home, it’s like being back in my warm blanket again. There’s nothing like a barbeque and some good friends on a 4th of July gathering that just spells home.

Susan, here on the left, used to be a neighbor. now she’s gone off to Texas but came back to visit. Welcome back Susan, we’ve missed you around the neighborhood. I know that if I were to ever leave forever, I would miss it too.

And now my boy, his hair freshly cut, is leaving for camp today for two weeks.

I was the one who wanted summer to come, to have a less structured schedule. What was I thinking?
