Aloha Friday, Breastfeeding

I have a quick question on this Aloha Friday (yeah!) before I run out the door. Actually, this little baby has a question.

breastfeeding

If you are a woman, and you have had the honor of going through gestation, did you breast feed while you were lactating?

And if you are a man, have you seen an infant take advantage of lactation in public?

Time for mama to eat now. I remember those days…

Posted on Aloha Friday (yeah!).

And on Mosaic Monday, when Monday rolls around…

I nursed my daughter and loved it. I know that not everyone does, but it was a beautiful time for me to bond with my daughter and I do miss it.

I breastfed all three of my children. It was one of the best experiences of my life! How funny that you should ask that today because just yesterday I was thinking of doing my Monday Memories post this coming week on that!

I breastfed both of my kids. It was a great bonding experience.

  4. I breastfed all 6 of my children and loved everyone of them. I find myself missing those moments now that my baby is 19 months old.

I have breastfed in public, I have even stood near breastfeeding mothers while they breastfed. It was a protective thing, I was ready to pounce on passersby who spoke rudely to her. (it was a stranger) I didn’t ever want her to be attacked while feeding her baby.

I have sat in the stall of a bathroom to breast feed my children because I was “ashamed.” i don’t ever want another woman to do that.

Cute horses! I was unable to breastfeed any of my children.

  6. Big Daddy says:

    I have.

  7. I breastfed both of my daughters. It was not an easy experience, but I stuck with it by the grace of God, and I’m glad I did.

Yep. Breastfed both of my daughters. Easy and nurtured a close relationship. HOWEVER, I always felt like I was on a schedule. (My sitter lived a couple of blocks from school, so I ran over to her house at lunch and nursed. A bit hectic.) I am pretty private–so nursing in public was out for me. And then… they got TEETH! The end.

  9. I nurse my oldest until he was 11 month old and got very sick and the stress caused my milk to dry up. I am still nursing my toddler now, but I personally do not breastfeed in public.

I love horses, and your mosaic is just gorgeous. I had two girls, but I didn’t breast feed. People get really weird here about breast feeding in public, but I think if you use a coverup it makes this beautiful event a little more discrete.

Beautiful photos and breast feeding is so natural and so much better for the young.

Yes, I breastfed my daughters. They are nearly 31 and 35 now. I was just 17 with the first one, and went back to high school. So she didn’t get as much. The second daughter I nursed regularly. Love the horse photos!

    Beautiful pictures!

These are such wonderful photos. Yes, I breastfed my two children many years ago. I can still remember the feeling of little fingers tickling my side while I sat there looking into their faces. Such love is never felt any other time in their lives. It is just something different! Thanks for the memory!

What a gorgeous Mosaic you have created. Nature at its best. This is how Nature intended it. I breastfed my three children (8 months) and it was beautiful to see their eyes looking up at me, so much love. They never cried, were healthy children and grew up happy. I never felt ashamed of breastfeeding in public, on the contrary. People have so many hangups, don’t they for all the wrong reasons. Every woman should breastfeed.
