Bloggy-versary Thoughts
I started blogging a year ago…a year ago. This is my 511th post. It’s a lot of posts I know. You should see how many scrapbooks I have.
Most of my blogs are about my family…sometimes to their chagrin. However, they all know that I respect their privacy and I don’t make fun of them – too much.
A few weeks ago Neighbor Sue said she didn’t like my new blog design. I went home last weekend and my Uncle Walt said, “Hey Puna, I can’t find anything on that new website of yours. Peck showed me how to get around.”
Then my brother said, “Hey sis, I don’t like your new site.”
And my husband had a hard time with it at first…
The whole point of changing my blog design was to control more of my own design and have the ability to post larger photos in order to showcase my photography. And I may have some control issues.
I saw this design by Michelle at My Two Season and I decided to copy her. I loved the whole lotta goin’ on at her place.
I have a point so stay with me.
The process of self-hosting was excruciating…excruciating! It all lead up to several very sincere apologies from my hosting company and a couple of extra free months of hosting. But I’m still slightly sore from the whole thing and therefore ungraciously holding a grudge. I’m not going to post details but if you want to know what not to do and who not to do it with, go ahead and contact me.
The point is…I’ve been through too much to change again. And I think Uncle Walt has figured out how to navigate through the site by now.
And this month is my anniversary month. I’m trying to figure out what to do in order to celebrate…and of course it’s some kind of giveaway. So stay tuned until I figure something out. I’ll give you a hint, it will have something to do with food so get your recipes ready.
And animals, it will have animals in it.
And photographs, lots of photographs. Oh dear, I better think of something.
But above all, I hope it will be fun for you. Because you mean so much to me. All five of you.

Yay! Happy Blogiversary! Mine was on August 1st and I sort of forgot about it because I was going through all my poison ivy angst. Oh, and I love your new site design! I think it has a very professional feel to it.
Happy Anniversary! Funny how we gently resist change–we like things to stay the same. I guarantee if you ever change again–they will resist it too!!

I sure know about the work in progress! There’s still things I need to fix on my blog but I can’t figure how to do it! I do love yours though!
