“We danced until the night became a brand new day.
Two lovers …la la la…from some romantic play.
September mornings still can make me feel that way.”
I don’t know all the words and my family constantly makes fun of me for me from making up the lyrics. But I can’t stop singing this song all month. I rattles around in my head and pops up at the most inopportune times, like when I’m speaking in public. Is it Neil Sadaka? Or Tom Jones? Hmmm…

Oh, no! I don’t like that song and now it’s stuck in my head, minus the correct lyrics of course! (I looked it up, it’s Neil Diamond.) Have a good day, Puna! Love that shot. What lens did you use?
Sorry Gayle! I just used my little 13-70mm kit lens that came with my D40. I get way low on the ground. I think the neighbors are getting used to see me do it by now…
September Morn’ by Neil Diamond. My mom has always been a huge fan of his. Now I am roaming the rooms of my mom’s house in my mind, hearing the song play and the fall-ish breeze blow in. Don’t you love how music can do that to you?
Sorry to put it in your head too:)
VERY COOL SHOT! (okay so that’s like yelling but I really like it) And I’m happy to see that several people helped you realize that it was Neil Diamond. I totally cracked up when I read Neil Sadaka or Tom Jones. Frankly, those are pretty good guesses for the era. I love Neil Diamond – saw him in concert at the Great Western Forum in Los Angeles YEARS ago. Fantastic concert.
Absolutely stunning vision of this mushroom. Love your point-of-view..the detail. WOW!
In case you want the entire song stuck in your head:
Written by Neil Diamond and Gilbert Becaud
Stay for just a while
Stay, and let me look at you
It’s been so long, I hardly knew you
Standing in the door
Stay with me a while
I only wanna talk to you
We’ve traveled halfway ’round the world
To find ourselves again
September morn
We danced until the night became a brand new day
Two lovers playing scenes from some romantic play
September morning still can make me feel that way
Look at what you’ve done
Why, you’ve become a grown-up girl
I still can hear you crying
In a corner of your room
And look how far we’ve come
So far from where we used to be
But not so far that we’ve forgotten
How it was before
September morn
Do you remember how we danced that night away
Two lovers playing scenes from some romantic play
September morning still can make me feel that way
Gee thanks Neighbor Suzanne.
