A New Workout Shoe?

The boy and I were shopping one day, not too long ago.

Shopping with your teenage son is an experience. But this is a fitness post so any thoughts I may have on that  will have to wait for another day.

I wore my everyday shoes. The shoes that I wear everyday to walk the dog.

They were extremely old and embarrassing. Since almost every pair of pants I have needs to be hemmed, (I’m 5 foot something) I have to wait until they get back from the dry cleaners to wear them. I was in a hurry to wear this pair so I just cut them. I thought perhaps the dangly threads would be cool but they just look like I cut my jeans.

While at the Skeckers store (not because they owe me anything but because I like their shoes,) I saw this display.

It was a shoe that rocked back and forth. You would then shape your calves and thighs as you walked. I think.

As someone who tries a new method of fitness every other week (just to see if it works), I have to say I was intrigued, though I wasn’t quite ready to buy these.

Does anyone out there have a pair? Do they reall shape your legs? It looks like you would need really good balance to wear them.

And I left the store with these Skeckers. They are super comfortable. And they are brown…because things that are on the ground at the farm are brown.

You’re a nut – buying shoes that are brown because of the horse farm – too funny! Remind me to tell you about my carpet….

I’ve seen commercials for sneakers that are supposed to tone your legs. I always think if I had them, I would probably be falling all over the place!

just last week i bought a new pair of cross trainers. now they are my new conscious. how could i buy such expensive “running shoes” and not work out.

I ordered a pair of ugg (not from Amazon) but they came from China and they are not the same size as the size six (6) I tried on here in the states. In the states the six fit perfectly and a size 7 was huge. The size 6 I received from China was too short and the fleece was not as nice as the boots I tried on at my local mall. Beware!
