Cat Pose

Fern has been coming to my yoga class almost every week, twice a week, since I started teaching it almost two years ago. I notice when she’s not in class, and I miss her.
When she started, she would confess that her back was very tight and inflexible.
Two years of cat poses along with some strength exercises, and today she tells me her back feels so much better.
Start in an all fours position.
Inhale through the nostrils and we round our backs.
Bring our belly buttons into the spine.
Hold our stomachs in.
Always breath.
Namaste.











Oh, why don’t we live closer?!! The nearest yoga class is 35 miles away–and you have to belong to a gym to take it. Sadness.
I miss yoga but it’s not the kind of class that welcomes a wild tree climber. I wish they had mommy/baby yoga here but they don’t. Sad because it is the one thing she’ll be semi-still for!
I love the cat pose — it’s one of my favourite yoga positions
It makes my sore back feel better too

I would love to try this…I guess it will have to wait until I get home. Me doing it in my office is probably a no-no
