November 8, The Eyes of the Heart

The heart is not only the place where we feel things. The heart is more. The heart is the portal where the physical and spiritual realities connect. In Greek lexicon, the heart is where the endeavor of understanding happen. It is the seat of the intelligence of the will and the character of the soul.
I heard this message and I was deeply moved not only emotionally, but intellectually. The intelligence of the will…It means we not only feel but it is where we are moved to act on what we feel. The intelligence of our will. To me, it is a beautiful lesson.
“I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened . . . ” Ephesians 1:18
This month, I am joining Maya over at Springtree Road for November in black and white. Maya is a crafter, a knitter and of course an extremely talented photographer. Perhaps you will join her too?
Posted on Monochrome Weekly. No worries, lots of color to come. Have a beautiful Spiritual Sunday.

Beautiful. I can feel and smell the air. I just love the ocean
A tranquil scene.
Very peaceful.
You framed your words beautifully! Thank you for the thoughtful inspiring post and great photo capture here!
Thisn was lovely, thanks for sharing it. Have a wonderful week. Blessings, Debbie
This is a stunning photo and certainly evokes the image of the heart and soul and mind connecting. Absolutely lovely!
I like what you posted. It is so appropriate for someone of my character type. I tend to be more of a thinker than feeler. I have to know how things work first. I thrive on learning and knowledge. My way isn’t always the best way, but it is my way of living. The way the heart is explained is fascinating. Thank you for explaining it the way you did. — Yoli
I love the sea and this black and white photo is spectacular. Thank you for the insight into the heart. I’m glad you shared this with us today.
Blessings,
Charlotte
I just read what my wife, Charlotte said. I can’t say it any better or as well as she did so I will just say, “Amen.”
such a beautiful shot and i love the words too
Beautiful.
Your picture is beautiful, I love black and white photos. The heart is amazing!
God Bless,
Ginger
oh how i would love to be there!
thank you for participating.
How lovely – I’ll have to try more B&W, because I think it’s so striking & emotional.
Great b/w edit for a walk on the beach. It’s very dramatic and almost reminds me of seeing snow on the beach. What a neat idea of b/w for the month of november.
i would walk that beach any day no matter the color!!
I love the mood the B&W gives this photo.
An image laden with light but just enough texture to know it is light on the shoreline. This could open a romantic narrative!
