Thanksgiving Sink

I know the titles have been a little strange. The only thing I can say is this, I can’t be any other way. I’m quirky and I can’t hide it.
And since this is my space, I’m free to be me.

For this Monday’s memory, I think about the girl and my mother.

The two of them together in the kitchen last year, preparing Thanksgiving dinner.

I loved seeing it.

And the girl loved doing it. This year, we’ll be with my parents again. And I hope to document that too.
It was 13 years ago when the girl would get bathed, in the very sink in the very kitchen where she now helps with Thanksgiving dinner.
It gives me a quirky, sentimental feeling.

cute memories…it makes me think of sitting and chopping veggies with my mom for the big dinner.
oh what a very special series of memories…daughters and grandmothers, such an important bond! 13 BIG milestone Puna
A lot of baths have been taken in that very sink over the years. Looking forward to seeing you this week.
WONDERFUL MEMORIES…Just imagine the tradition you can pass on with this…
The photos of your mom and girl working together are so special. Thank you for reminding me of sink baths!
My one question…why is the turkey hanging out by the fireplace?!
Ha Gayle! The turkey was being defrosted the old fashioned way. Wouldn’t your Timmy love to get his teeth into that?!
memories. i used to bathe the kids in the sink at my parents cottage, or sometimes in a washtub in the middle of the yard. always love those pictures.
LOL that last shot is too cute! What wonderful memories you’re making for your kids
