What I Cooked For Halloween

First of all, I’m going to use the word “cook” lightly. Thank goodness I wasn’t hosting the Halloween party, I’m not sure people would have loved the Triscuit appetizer I would put out.

Secondly, I know Halloween was last week…I’ll re-post this again in 2010, before Halloween since I’m sure no one is going to make this for Thanksgiving dinner.

Neighbor Theresa was having chili at her party so fifteen minutes before I went over, I made these breadstick fingers. They look disgusting I know. Perfect.

I found them on Amy Locurto’s site. She has some amazing content for you over there. I wanted to make the mummy meatloaf too but frankly, this is all I could muster. And let me tell you…they were easy peasy.

Start with this.

Put the bread stick dough on the cookie sheet and press the almonds on the tips for fingers. Gross. Perfect.

Spread some butter and sprinkle some garlic powder on top. Bake according to the bread dough instructions. Put them in a dish and bring to your neighbor’s house! They will say, “Eeeeewwww, are those fingers?” And then they’ll much them down.

Next week I’ll post something you can actually make for Thanksgiving.

Happy Foodie Friday, when Friday rolls around.

I have seen these before but they always make me chuckle. I think they would be very nice on the Thanksgiving table right beside the jellied salad. Lol.

It really is amazing that something so simple can look so creepy and make such an impression. My kids would still love these and they are 20-somethings!

How wonderfully gruesome:-). I’ll bet every one who saw them did a double take. My grandsons will love these. They’ll be a must do next Halloween.
