September 10, Roses For The Innocent

This photo simply ran with PW’s Fresh and Colorful action.
I’ve had a difficult time with my camera lately. I can’t get it to focus properly. I’ve tried it in auto, aperture, manual and all other kinds of modes. So I gave up and took a bunch of photos of my rose bushes from the hip and just let it auto focus. I have a wonderful series of roses because of it. It’s nice to give up control once in a while.
Tomorrow is September 11th. Most people I know remember exactly where they were the moment it happened, much like those who lived through the Pearl Harbor. I’m dedicating my series of roses to those who died that day.
May God bless you.

You may have already tried this but I found my focus to be a bazillion times sharper once I changed the focus to the middle focus point. But maybe that is what you mean by manual?
Lovely.
have you checked the diopter to make sure it’s focused?
Lovely, delicate blooms and such a wonderful dedication. My thoughts have turned to the events of September 11, 2001, too.
Gorgeous. I’m sure we will always remember where we were that day…
Gorgeous, Puna, and the perfect tribute to those lost that day.
