Giving Thanks Day 1

A holiday shouldn’t be the only time we give thanks but I am glad for the opportunity to be reminded.
So in this season of gratitude, I am going to count my blessings, over and over again.
I am grateful the people who serve the people. There is no money, no fame, no glittering red carpet. They work behind the scenes and when they are recognized in a small way, they humbly and respectfully acknowledge the praise and they get back to work to feed the hungry and help those in a season who are hurting.
They are the hearts and hands behind all the charities and non-profits around the country and in our back yards. They are the doers.
And I’m in awe of them.
Sometimes we forget how lucky we are to have all the things that we have. People who give their time to help people in need are heroes in my books.
