Pumpkin Planting

The boy had a stomach flu-thing last weekend. He couldn’t eat much and wasn’t feeling himself. It didn’t matter to his wrestling coach; he was expected to practice as if he was 100%. It frustrated the boy a little bit and I told him that no one else was going to show him as much sympathy as his mamma.
I thought it might cheer him up if I let him do something violent – like pumpkin planting.
So here goes…
Ready – look at the mold on that pumpkin.
Plant! – nice swing.
Splat! – I think he felt better.
Look at all those leaves, shameful that no one rakes them. But next year, we’ll have a pumpkin patch. And all because the boy had a stomach flu.
This is for Photo Story Friday.

great photo story! i’m happy to have found your blog and hope your boy is feeling better!
We ‘planted’ our pumpkin over the deck rail too!
