Instagram makes sharing my weekend a snap. I believe it’s one of my all time favorite 20th century inventions. It ranks right up there with the light bulb and the paper clip.

instagram5All in all, I’ve had a pretty productive weekend though I can attest that there is still a lot left to do around the yard. It’s like a jungle, one that’s been left unattended for eons. The jungle has been populated by all kinds of creatures which makes it a pretty fun place to explore in, but I will probably have to apologize to the neighbors pretty soon.

instagram1There has been some shuffling of office over the few weeks and I have relocated my office. Unlike my other spaces, I feel like this one is more permanent, like it’s mine in as much as any work space can belong to me. I could be relocating again tomorrow, but until then, I thought I would paint. I had a total of 12 different colors on the wall, ranging from fawn dove (or white) to cat 6 cable blue (a really bright blue) and much to my office mate’s relief, I finally settled on a calming gray/green. I kept asking him his opinion and he kept saying he didn’t care but you should have seen his face when I put the spot of blue on the wall. It was the look of absolute horror.

I guess he knows what he doesn’t like. Green is my favorite color and when one is undecided, one tends to stick with what one knows. I’m trying to decide what to do with this empty wall. It’s the first thing a visitor sees when they walk into the office. And I don’t want to spend any money.

Ideas anyone?

instagram6I then went through my basement and dug up a print, some silk flowers and an ethic pot. What? You don’t have these in your basement? Well, I suppose not everyone can be a compulsive pack rat like I am. The little work station is really for volunteers to come in a help with administrative tasks. I wanted the volunteer to feel comfortable because like the rest of us, they need a nice space to work. I didn’t want to work space to feel too feminine because I’m sharing my space with a man but a few flowers won’t kill him.

instagram4I do quite a lot of work from home anyway. The disadvantage to that is there are so many people and animals who need my attention and if they don’t get it, they just down right obstruct my progress.

instagram2As I was around and about on Saturday, I wanted to stop and get a milkshake. I think everyone who is breathing will know there was a small fast food controversy last week? No? Well then never mind. No matter what side of the issue you fall, you have to find this entire broohaha interesting. Once again, it’s probably just me. I stopped at 2 PM thinking the lunch crowd is probably over and I see the line for the drive through stretched down the street and the parking lot overflowing – a full four days after the “controversy.” This was my third attempt to get food here since last Wednesday, and the third time I’ve given up.

Take with that what you may.

instagram3And finally, the husband and I had the absolute pleasure of going to the local winery and watching this fantastic duo perform all of Sunday afternoon. The 95 degree heat and the 100% humidity didn’t deter us. I greeted people I knew with the french air kiss on either side of the face because it was too hot to hug or touch anyone but it was worth it. I’ll never pay an exorbitant amount of money again too see a musical performance, not when I have friends who can croon like these two can.

That’s my weekend in an Instagram nutshell. What a fantastic app…

Happy Instagram Monday!
