I was tagged by Gayle at Planet M Files (I just love her) to post my 10th post. Since this is my 945 post in a year in a half, I figured it might be fun to look back and see where we were waaaay back when.

None of the photos from my previous blog template translated over when I switched so I just uploaded another photo instead. This post was about my little girl being very unhappy that the farm was closed for a month and she couldn’t see her horse. She was so upset that she asked me to make the post private. Boy have things change in a year. It doesn’t seem to bad now.

Here we go…originally posted on August 24, 2008.

—————————————————————————

The girl still misses her horse, but reluctantly lets me take her shopping. Where do we go? Not to the mall, not to the shoe store, not even to the ice cream store. We went to Office Depot. The girl loves office supplies.

This is at dinner last night. Nothing can make a girl happier than some pretty post-it notes and a shiny new pencil.

I love her!

Unconscious thoughts and unknowing minds
Still breathes small signs of what’s to come

In other words…it’s going to be a crazy day. But I will pray before I go and I know that I will go protected.

I said, “I’m so happy about it.”

And I still am. For in her final round of love, my mother has picked a great man. Happy Father’s Day Poppop.

The husband’s father died when the husband was two years old. His mom re-married and her second husband died a few years later. From then on, Virginia, my mother-in-law, raised the son who will in turn be a great father. And she did it without a husband for many years.

Virginia came to visit when we lived in Phoenix many years ago. She met Frank on the plane. He was on his way to see his son in Tucson. They struck up a conversation, struck up a friendship and now have been together over twelve years.

In her final round of love, my mother-in-law has picked a great man. Happy Father’s Day Frank.

And now, my husband, my love, my life, father to my children. The man with whom I wish I could have more kids…another story for another time.

In my one and only round of love, I am blessed to have picked a great man. Happy Father’s Day honey.

Unlike our hapless politicians in Washington, I unabashedly admit that I am letting the polls sway my policy decisions. I won’t deny it.

Thank you to those who gave me some sympathy votes so it didn’t look like such a blow-out. And the four people from Switzerland who voted, thank you to you too.

I’ve decided to go with your suggestion and ditch the glass tile, therefore admitting that my husband was right by default. And he’s very pleased about it.

See the results of the vote here. I don’t know how to turn off the poll so as of today, as it stands, Yes – 25%, No – 67% and “I dont’ want to hurt your feelings.” – 8%.

I bow to the majority! So now…back to the drawing board…
