Terminal Halloween Decor

It’s Halloween! Actually it was Halloween yesterday. You’ll have to excuse me as I post post-Halloween photos throughout the week. They are too cute to keep in the camera.

This Halloween balloon display was at the airport – why not? People are already afraid to fly and now they have to talk through a cemetery, witches and bats in order to get on their planes. It’s perfect.

This is really gruesome humor – a graveyard at a terminal – but it works for me somehow . . . probably because this wasn’t my gate.

I think this excuse was used by my kids once or twice.

Someone had a gift for balloon animals and transformed this terminal at the airport and it was so much fun. We asked a gate agent who was responsible for this creativity and he said, “Randy from maintenance” like we would know him. But we don’t.

I love this tree. Whoever Randy is, he’s quite talented.

I wanted to give you a close up look so you can see the details and attempt this for yourself in your spare time.

This was quite witty. The knuckles on the hand made me look twice. I’m thinkin’ that Randy has another job waiting after he retires from maintenance.

And there was a friendly spider peeking out from around the corner.

There was even a witch and her cauldron. The witch was quite fantastic – a cross between the Wicked Witch of the West and a grasshopper.

Of all the fun balloon creatures on display, my favorite thing was this simple chair rope made of silver balloons. Perhaps because it was practical as well. It really kept people away from the display. I’m deathly afraid of a piece of popping balloon getting in my eye. I’ve always been that way and not certain why because it’s never happened before. Let’s hope it never will.

What a fun theme this week for the iHeart faces photo challenge. Our lives right now are filled with boys and I love it.

This is a photo from our vacation last year. There were six boys all together the entire week. I would say I felt sorry for the girl but - one day she’ll realize how much of an advantage she has over some of her friends:)

iHeart Silly Dogs

It’s Stanley Cup Finals season and my family is crazy over Neighbor Doug’s team, the Anaheim Ducks. Alas, it’s over for the Ducks, they were roasted by the Nashville Predators last night.

Apparently our animals love competition as well. Here is the dog and Tuk Tuk racing in the snow. This week’s iHeartfaces theme “Pets” gave me a good excuse to post this again.
