The sign out front states this is a dentist office. It should say “Mary Poppins lives here.”

If there is a pet theme somewhere, I’m bound to enter. Here is one of my favorite photos of Tuk Tuk. I know you’ve seen it before but I think it’s cute.
And it’s my entry for this week’s Pets theme over at iHeartfaces.

This week’s Team Up Thursday theme is “December.” Kristina, my wonderful partner, represents the warmth of the season with an inside shot and my photo represents the cold of the outdoors. It’s the ying and yang of the season.
Consider playing yourself this week, it’s a contest week! See more about it at Megan’s at Mental Inventory.

The subject is common, the composition is just so-so, but the green reminds me that this is a fresh and new week on this Monday morning.
It is why it’s my favorite color.
For Best Shot Monday.

My Aunt Shirley came to visit again a couple of weeks ago but instead of staying with me as she normally does, she stayed at her daughter’s new corporate headquarters in Old Town Alexandria. My cousin Ellen and her husband Richard just recently moved down here to pursue a new business venture and I can’t wait to show it to you.
This door is really this big! It is the entrance for a historical building that is Ellen and Richard’s new home for the time being.
The perspective is such that Aunt Shirley looks a little bit like Alice in Wonderland where everything is a little bit out of scale. I think it’s fun. And I gave her a great big hug and kiss.
See you soon for a story on the great entrepreneurial spirit and courage that makes this country the most prosperous and productive in the world! I’m so proud of them!
My Wish

As I watch the husband pack his bags for yet another trip, I find myself longing to pack my own bags. I love my home and I love my life here in the suburbs but my wish is to be able to fly free.
As sad as the day will be when my children leave their nest, it will open up the opportunity to leave my nest too. I will sell my home with my beautiful kitchen. Someone will really enjoy it. I will have fulfilled all the goals that I have set for my job. I will retire guilt free.
It will be glorious.
It will be fun for you too. I’ll write and photograph from wherever I am and make you guess what city it is. And the winner will win a fabulous prize. You can live vicariously through me when I get my new life.
Fun? I think so.
Alright, back to my 4000 record database clean-up. I knew there was a reason I was feeling this way:)

The husband was fishing yesterday morning but the only thing he caught was this image. It almost made me wish I went with him.
Almost.
I boosted the color and darkened the morning water. What a majestic sight.
